Water-Based Epoxy Primer (Two-Component)
STAUF EHS-265 Hydro-Seal is a two-component, water-based hybrid epoxy primer designed for subfloor preparation prior to the installation of urethane-based leveling compounds. Unlike traditional water- or urethane-based primers, EHS-265 is unaffected by elevated subfloor moisture and will not foam or weaken in its presence.
The primer penetrates concrete more deeply than conventional 100% solids epoxies, creating a stronger bond while reducing vapor transmission. EHS-265 does not function as a moisture barrier but helps limit vapor penetration. It spreads easily, creates a dust-free surface, and improves the bond of subsequently applied primers, leveling compounds, and adhesives.
