Product Description
R721 adhesive spreads easily and has a non-slump formula that will help insure contact and adhesive transfer because the ridges will bridge normal gaps between the flooring and substrate. It allows fast installation even with complicated patterns due to its strong green grab. There is no flash time required, so installation can commence immediately. Rolling is recommended. It offers superior flexibility and is designed to adapt to seasonal changes. R721 offers extremely high shear strength which makes it suitable for outdoor and indoor use.
Sub Floor Examination
Prior to installation, the subfloor must be checked according to national standards. It must be solid and sound, level, free of indentations, and resistant to pressure and tension.
Sub Floor Preparation
Prepare subfloor according to synthetic turf manufacturer's instructions.
Mixing of Components
Pour Part B completely into Part A. Thoroughly mix the two components with an electric mixer for at least 3 minutes until a uniform mixture and color are achieved.
For mixing a partial pail use these ratios (9 Parts A:1 Part B by weight):
- 1/4 Pail: mix 56 fl. oz. Part A with 8 fl. oz. Part B
- 1/2 Pail: mix 112 fl. oz. Part A with 16 fl. oz. Part B
- 3/4 Pail: mix 1 gal 40 fl. oz. Part A with 24 fl. oz. Part B
Installation Procedure
Spread the adhesive with the appropriate notched trowel or use a glue box to spread the adhesive onto the seaming tape. Lay the turf into the adhesive and press down firmly.
Limitations
Do not install during heavy rain or where water has accumulated.
Do not install below 32°F (0°C) or above 100°F (38°C). Use only on approved seaming tapes.
In case of an accident, injury, spill, or exposure, see SDS for information. Consult the Technical Data Sheet at www.staufusa.com for updated information.
This adhesive will maintain its integrity and performance even when high levels of moisture or water are present. While adhesive can withstand any amount of moisture, it does not qualify as a moisture inhibitor. Please see below for recommended sealers if a moisture barrier is required.
