Choosing the correct adhesive
Stauf produces a complete line of wood flooring adhesive products. They include adhesives having bases common in the industry (water, urethane) and two unique adhesives, one that uses a highly desired reformulated alcohol base and the other which uses the newest, “5th Generation” of adhesive ingredients - polymers. There is a Stauf adhesive available for every floor and every wood flooring product. Every Stauf Adhesive is certified “green” by the European environmental agency GEV, with the exception of Solva-Mastic WFR-930. It has an alcohol base, but does not contain or emit ozone depleting ingredients. It is VOC compliant. Stauf also offers a line of sub floor preparation materials, such as leveling compounds, concrete crack fillers and underlayments. Stauf produces a complete line of Primers for preparing sub floors to grab adhesives more strongly. They include water, alcohol and urethane based primer products to match those adhesive types. Stauf also produces two Sealer products which are guaranteed to reduce sub floor moisture contents to 3#, even when the moisture content measured in the slab is 8# and up to 18#. Neither product contains any water, solvents or VOC’s.
Besides other tools for installation, Stauf Notched Trowels serve as the perfect measuring devices to ensure the spread rate is accurate. Stauf has a complete line for parquet, solid and engineered floors, as well as a unique trowel for use with SMP-960 One-Step Adhesive. A special 22” wide trowel is also available for spreading ACS-210 Sealer. Stauf also has floor cleaning and preparation products to meet most flooring needs. They include concrete leveling compounds, crack fillers, and floor patch, as well as floor cleaners for urethane, alcohol and other adhesives.
